It takes a calm, responsible person to be the designated first aider at work. Workplaces hide several hazards and many injuries can be prevented when you know how to assess the environment. If the worst should happen, though, a fully-certified first aider on the team is essential to deal with medical emergencies caused by injury or illness.
Organisations that are made up of several members of staff need a designated on-site first aider. If yours doesn’t have one yet, then perhaps it’s time for you to take up the role and become certified.
This course is specifically designed to give you a grounded understanding and practical, working knowledge of First Aid. By the end of the session, you will be able to administer First Aid in an emergency situation safely, promptly and efficiently.
Topics within this qualification are regarded by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) as being important in maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt and effective treatment of injuries and ill health in the workplace.
This course lasts one day and comprises of an engaging mix of activities with fellow learners, practical work and theory. You’ll be asked to complete a simple multiple choice and practical assessment of learning after you take the course. You will receive a certificate once you have passed both assessments.Enquire
